About Us
The KnockOut Violence Project is a community-driven initiative dedicated to empowering young people and steering them away from violence, gang culture, and antisocial behaviour. Led by Blades Down in partnership with Gloves Not Gangs, our programme combines sport, mentorship, and education to create lasting change in the lives of vulnerable young people.
Through structured boxing fitness sessions, group mentoring, and workshops covering key topics such as mental resilience, conflict resolution, and career pathways, we provide an alternative route for those at risk of being drawn into crime. Our mission is to equip young people with the confidence, skills, and support network they need to make positive choices for their future.
Â
Our programme is built around three core pillars:
🥊 Boxing & Fitness Training
Physical activity plays a crucial role in building discipline, confidence, and self-control. Our non-contact boxing fitness sessions are led by experienced coaches and focus on improving mental and physical well-being while providing a healthy outlet for emotions.
đź’ˇ Mentoring & Support
We believe every young person deserves guidance from role models who understand their challenges. Our mentors offer one-to-one and group support, helping participants navigate personal struggles, build self-belief, and develop positive aspirations.
📚 Workshops & Life Skills
We provide engaging workshops on topics such as:
✔️ Conflict resolution & de-escalation strategies
✔️ Mental health & well-being
✔️ Understanding the impact of knife crime & gang involvement
✔️ First Aid Training
✔️ Career pathways & goal setting
