Let's Be Blunt -Remove The Point

Let’s Be Blunt is a UK-based campaign dedicated to reducing knife crime by promoting practical, everyday choices that begin at home. Their mission is simple but powerful, encourage households, especially parents, homeowners, students, and adults, to swap traditional pointed-tip kitchen knives for blunt-ended alternatives that are just as effective for cooking yet significantly safer. The campaign also collaborates with authorities to establish easily accessible knife disposal points and offers educational materials and workshops to enhance parental awareness and shift cultural attitudes around knife safety.

Blades Down are proud to be partnering with Let’s Be Blunt to help educate local communities on the benefits of blunt-tipped knives and encourage families to make the swap. We share their vision and passion for creating safer homes and supporting collective efforts to tackle knife crime.

Gloves Not Gangs -The Wirral CP Boxing Club

The Gloves Not Gangs campaign was set up to help prevent young people within our community, who are at risk of engaging in anti-social behavior associated with gang culture and knife crime.

The objective of this campaign is to reach a young, targeted group. This is a challenging time, and it has proven even more difficult to keep track of our School, Junior & Youth members.

We always try to help our younger community members, by providing a facility and opportunities for amateur boxing and other activities, that helps reduce the amount of time they are hanging around the streets.

We use boxing and fitness as our tool to engage young people, by improving physical health and wellbeing, fair play, respect, self confidence and social inclusion.

Young people who are apart of the Gloves Not Gangs Campaign will have safe surroundings to explore their emotions, values, and overcome any hurdles or barriers they may have. We aim to form a positive relationship between our club and all community members. Our driving belief is that discipline and respect learned through boxing can have a positive impact on young people’s lives, teaching them life skills that can have a positive influence outside of the boxing gym.
